I considered a 6950 or GTX560 but I bought a MSI 6870 Twin Frozr elsewhere for £135 which is significnatly less money but plenty of horsepower for my needs. Just consider cost against performance for what your gaming requires.

Yea I saw that place selling it for just around £123 today...amazing price for a card of that level of performance- Twin FrozR III cooler together with free Dirt 3...unbelievable!

A brilliant card regardless but at that price with the cooling and free game too I had to go for it 6950 is overkill for my needs and about £80 more anyway.

Tempted by that 6870 offer. Nice upgrade from my 5770 (i think), but I really should just hold out until the 7XXX series

I've owned both 6870 and 6950 and there is quite a big jump between them, if you can get your hands on a 6950 that will flash then its easily worth it

6950 is about 10~15% faster than a 6870...so it's pretty much down to if people is willing to pay 60% extra money for 10~15% extra speed. Also, new cards that will flash to 6970 is no longer available.
