Radeon 6990 - Alternative cooling to reduce noise ?

I have a Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 6990 but I'm finding it far too noisy when gaming. What are my options when it comes to alternative cooling? are there quieter fans available or something? Also how easy would it been to fit any of your suggested alternatives?

I don't think there are any after market coolers for the 6990 yet or if any are in development. I know where your coming from though, it can be a noisy card under load, i'm currently waiting on a waterblock for mine so i can add it to my loop. What case do you currently have?

The case is a Corsair Graphite 600T Ltd Edition, and yeah the noise is far too bad playing BF3 beta I have no option but to wear headphones

Thanks for the info, and thanks for taking the time to look Marine-RX179. JeffyB, you say you're waiting for a waterblock for yours, which is that. I know nothing about watercooling, so what the minimum I could get away with to cool this.

At the moment I'm considering selling it and buying a new pre-built system with watercooling. Obviously that's not ideal due to the cost
