hey
ive got a dell latitude c640 which has a radeon 7500 mobility graphics card. im a total linux noob.
i had been using fedora core 6 up until now but i found a set of online courses but they are based around debian so i thought i would switch over.
anywho, i've installed debian and let it autodetect hardware and then ive just accepted the defaults.
with regards to graphics it chose vesa and 1024x768 @ 60hz during the install, which is now complete. i've logged into the graphical interface (gnome) and its displaying 800x600 @ 73hz which means its running in a window within the screen.
can anyone tell me how to get it up to 1024x768? (within the screen resolution settings i only have the current settings to choose from).
cheers.
