can any one help? i'm trying to install a radeon 9200 agp into a friends pc and i have come across nothing but problems!

i believe it is to do with compatability issues betwwen the card and the mobo chipset (gigabyte GA-7VA)

i have so far: udated mobo bios, updated the via chipset drivers, tried loads of ATI & Omega drivers, also tried limiting the AGP to X4 in the bios with no luck.

after installing the card drivers i'm prompted to restart, then after the restart it gets as far as the windows loading screen then the screen goes black and the monitor says no input signal?

any ideas would be appriciated.

i havent smashed any thing up for a while but i'm sooo tempted to take a hammer to this it's driving me nuts :D

I have no solution, but I think you may be on the right track with chipset compatibility. I had very similar issues with a 9200 (9250? not sure) card and an M7VIG board. Worked in safe mode, or with no driver installed, though not well, obviously. Not with driver. Card works fine in K8S8X-based machine.

If you've tried the ATI 6.11 pre-R300 drivers (make sure you get those, not the std 6.11 Cats), then I don't know what more to suggest.
