Radeon HD 2900 is Not HD

Leave AMD alone and let them try and compete with nVidia is what I say, thats surely whats best for the consumer. A lawsuit against them isn't going help matters.

I dont really think much people brought the 2900 as a media center or to play hd dvds. Its too power hungry to be viable, so it doesnt really matter much to most 2900 owners.

weird cos that article then says afterwards it will be enabeled in the drivers in the future....

?

Meh like people say its nothing major...

not when u got a quad core either ;)

the only good thing about ati now is bringing out lots of hyped up tripe which should lower the price of nvidia offerings for now ex-ati fanboys such as me :D

Seriously though, why did they put the HD part in the name then...

It would be like saying for example, its Vista ready but it doesn't work on Vista.

Well lets see now, why did they put HD in the name, maybe the fact that it does work with HD content and this UVD thing has got nothing to do with its ability to run HD.

Because HD is the latest buzzword ;) Like FX and XP before it.

Can I just ask, what else are you going to be doing on your PC while you're watching an HD-DVD...?
