Radeon HD 6850 query

Hi guys,

I have a Radeon HD 6850 graphics card that should have 1GB GDDR5.

I've just gone into DXDIAG and it shows;

DEVICE
Name: AMD Radeon HD 6800 series
Approx total memory: 742Mb

Any ideas why it is showing as 742mb and not 1GB?

Just done the same on mine - dxdiag shows 743mb memory.

GPU-Z, though, shows 1024mb.

I think it is just a big within dxdiag.

If GPU-Z shows the correct value then should be fine. Unless somebody else can confirm.

My 6870 1Gb is showing 2803Mb in dxdiag ... if only
