so i've just bought this card, checked my system works with it.

so when i installed the card it worked great! no problems what so ever but when i turned the pc on the next day (yesterday) i had a message saying that the drivers had stopped working and crashed repeatedly.

the screen went black a few times and when it recovered i had colour distertion and pixels different colours all over the screen which then froze my computer again and again.

help please D:

Assuming your PSU is the first one Google shows for "Ace 750W", I would say you need to upgrade this - even if Shawsy's (excellent) suggestion of upgrading drivers to the later ones works. This is a PSU that is only rated up to 500W on the 12V rails (which is what nearly everything inside a PC runs on these days) and at less than £20 I wouldn't trust it to run my mum's web browsing PC.

A graphics card can be pretty hard on PSU's, especially a top end one like a 6950. I would recommend upgrading to a 500W PSU from a good manufacturer (Antec, BeQuiet, Corsair, LEPA, OCZ, Silverstone, XFX) which I think will fix your problems, and make your PC less likely to go BANG and end up costing you loads more.

OP was probably overclocking and forgot to turn clocks back to stock as CCC puts clocks back to last setting on restart.

That is always something you should splash the cash on, good psu is a must.

+1

Try the new 12.7 betas that are available see if they help too.

Latest drivers here (select the OS you are using) and remember to install the Cap profiles too, even single cards require them.

But do save some money for a new PSU that thing is a ticking time bomb that you have that may take out your system one day or cause a nasty accident.

He doesnt mention overclocking? how on earth do you make that assumption?

He clearly says he tried it in his system, turned it on next day and errors ensued. No idea how you got to your conclusion.

i'm so lost >.< i'm not that tech savvy :D

can you explain why my 750w power supply wouldn't be good D:

also, i'm using 11.9 D: so i'm gonna try updating to 12.7 then try the graphics card again :)

good to hear its working, hope its sorted now. Also, upgrade that psu. i mean you can get 600w quality psu's from ocuk for like 60-70quid

Because that's exactly what I or most other people would do the day they bought a new card and if coming from nvidia might not know that OC settings stick even after a reboot on amd cards. Besides, it's no different from people saying it's the psu or drivers; all conjecture, and at least my assumption is as much if not more plausible than the psu causing driver crashes. Also perhaps you noticed that this is overclockers UK :p

Anyway glad it seems to be fixed.
