If this doesn't constitute success of one architecture I don't know what does:
Intel - Vega M
Apple - Vega56, Vega64, Vega 48, Vega 20, Vega II, Vega II Duo
Google - Vega 56 Dual
Alienware - Vega64, Radeon VII
various system integrators - Vega8, Vega10, Vega56, Vega64, Radeon VII

People will hate but you can not argue AMDs success here.

You forgot the whole Mac lineup using Polaris for years now. Tens of millions of AMD GPUs sold from Apple alone.

Vega had a bit of bad luck on the gaming side. It had to go toe to toe with Pascal, which was a giant leap beyond what even Nvidia were used to achieving, firstly. Secondly, it was meant more for compute workloads, so it couldn't really be as lean as needed for graphics workloads. Then, of course, it kept being bought by miners everywhere so that added to a negative perception around the product as well.

NVidia have had the tech for many years to get SLI running well on a dual card, the GTX 690 is probably still the benchmark when it comes to having a hardware fix to deal with microstutter.

There is nothing to stop NVidia putting a couple of TU102 or 104 chips on the same PCB, these chips already use less power than their high end AMD counterparts.
With the price of single gpus today can you imagine the price of a dual gpu card in these times? 2090Ti reference "Founders" starting at the low price of £3499

But then you still have problems with compatibility with engines and programming, and some won't support it at all. Plus, it didn't eliminate micro stutter entirely .. and also, for reasons unclear to me, NVIDIA had far, far worse scaling in most games than AMD (maybe more recent NVIDIA architectures would have rectified the latter).

The whole point of mGPU (at least in consumer) in the future is to have several (not just 2) small dies seen as a number of 'cores', per Zen, not discrete GPUs. Then all the compatibility issues go away, and you can potentially use quite a few much smaller chips which will be much lower cost and higher yield.

AMD have clearly made some very large strides with regard to latency on Zen 2 and the dedicated, separate IO die, but whether that is going to be good enough for GPUs in gaming situations isn't clear.

No, it just doesn't work that way. CPus and GPUs are fundamentally different and what AMD can achieve with Zen has absolutely no relevance to GPUs

100% false.

Apple did not sold tens of millions of laptops, minis and desktops, Apple sold 18.016 million units worldwide in 2018.

blah black blach

You picked one quarter.

https://www.statista.com/statistics/263444/sales-of-apple-mac-computers-since-first-quarter-2006/

Last 13 years in quarters. Apple is selling AMD GPUS since Polaris last 2 1/2 years now? If half of them are not using the crappy Intel 630 then are using AMD :)
