Radeon R9 280X installation help

Hi,

Got this card delivered today to replace HD 6800.

Take old card out, new one in. Connect the power plugs to the new card and plug monitors in and boot up, but black screen nothing shows.

Only goes back to working with old card in. What should I be doing to work out why it's not working?

I've tried removing both cards and plugging monitor into onboard mobo card, but nothing shows either.

Check for a bios update for your motherboard
