Radeon RX 460 stopped working.

Hello. My Sapphire Radeon RX 460 stopped working recently.

My pc was starting up but the screen would not come on. I replaced the graphics card and it worked perfectly.

I've been trying to see if I could get it to work and one time after many tries of reseating it and reseting the CMOS it worked once. It booted to windows and worked fine but after shutting down the PC and powering it up the next day the RX 460 was back to not working.

I noticed one of the gold contacts for the part that goes into the Pci express slot, on both sides, is chipped, images below.

Also I noticed a chip has one connection missing.

Is it worth replacing the thermal pads and thermal paste?

Any ideas?

The PCI express contacts look deliberate to me, too neat and the same on both sides, so I doubt that is causing any issue.

As above, the missing contacts on the pcie contacts is normal. Looking at a pic online of your card the missing chip connection is normal too.
