Hi all

Just wondering if anyone has done an undervolt on the RADEON RX5700 8gb... Its the reference design so I imagine it runs warmer than most other 5700 but I'm actually suprised it's not that loud as people say...

I've seen videos of the 5700XT undervolt but I'm guessing the figures will be different when trying an undervolt....

If anyone has any helpful information that would be much appreciated

Thanks

I briefly experimented with my Asus RX5700 reference card and got stock 1750mhz down to 986mv stable.

I too was surprised and relieved at how quiet the blower design was compared to previous cards I've owned.

I'm now running it at 2042 @ 1.156 but that is under water so no noise.

Ahh brill, was that all done in AMD radeon software?

The under volt was done all in the AMD software.

The AMD software imposes some limitations on how far a 5700 can be overclocked (I think 1850 is the max) and so using the MorePowerTool from https://www.igorslab.de/en/morepowe...x-5700-xt-tweaking-and-overclocking-software/ will allow the unlock of higher frequencies which is how I have mine running at 2042 with an increased power limit (50% instead of previous max of 20%)

When you undervolt in the AMD software there are 3 circle bits with digits underneath... I'm guessing I only use the right one

Yes, point 3 will determine your max voltage (which is your target of say 1v (1000mv)). Point 1 will be the minimum but you shouldn't need to touch that at all.

Point 2 will automatically adjust itself based upon point 1 and point 3.

You've also got the power limit control which will help in maintaining higher clock rates where possible at the expense of increased power consumption.

Brilliant cheers bud I will have a little tinker later
