Q: What is Radeon Super Resolution?
A: Radeon™ Super Resolution (RSR) is an in-driver upscaling feature that uses the same algorithm found in AMD FidelityFX™ Super Resolution (FSR) technology. RSR works by upscaling lower resolutions set in-game to the native resolution of the active display, providing higher FPS.

Q: What happens if RSR is enabled and I turn on FSR?
A: It is recommended that you keep RSR disabled for any game title that supports FSR if you plan to use FSR - using both upscaling technologies at the same time will be double the work and could result in some degradation in image quality.

Q: Will RSR work with games running borderless full screen?
A: The current version of RSR supports exclusive full screen modes, meaning it will work as long as the game has an in-game menu option that allows you to lower the game resolution. For games running on borderless full screen mode, the user will need to go to the Windows Settings and set the Windows resolution lower than their monitor’s native resolution, which will allow RSR to work.

Q: How do I enable and use RSR?
A: Follow the steps listed here.

Screenshot Examples:

Here are some screenshots of Radeon Super Resolution that I took when running Days Gone.

Days Gone - Max Settings
3840x2160 native > RSR > 3200x1800

Please feel free to share your own screenshots. I recommend using this site for image comparisons between native and RSR.

Well I've just given this ago with me 6700xt in heaven benchie and at "1440p" I got 145fps/3714 and at "1080p" I got 222/5607 so thats one hell of a performance increase in my book. this option would give advantages all over the place, say, running a 6600xt at 1440p to get the frames up, making earlier cards that are having probs running more up to date games (providing their card is a 500 series or higher which is the earliest model I believe it works with) the only downside I can think of is that it only works at 1080p as the lowest res you can set, it doesn't work at say, 1600 x 900 or 1680 x 1050.

I'll get me son to give it a go as he has a 6600xt with a 4K monitor, probs works fine at 1440p but 4K would be stretching it a bit I reckon.
Good to hear. Let us know how your son finds it, it’s great to have that flexibility to use in any game if needed.

Just tried it in Crysis remastered, going from 1440p to 1080p and RSR, gives me about a 20%-25% increase in performance without any noticeable hit to image quality that I can see, but then again I wasn't really looking that hard and I probably wouldn't care if there was any to be frank, I'd be happy for the performance increase without having to replace me gpu if it was an older version.
The sharpening filter is very good at retaining detail. Not sure if you looked at the screenshot examples I provided in the OP, but the difference between the two images is small.

One quick question do you need to turn HDR of on desktop ?

I did briefly try it but not really got any games installed that need a frames boost maybe I should put bfv back on at least I know the engine works

with bf2042 the detail was worse but the frames the same very strange
No, it worked with HDR for me in Days Gone. I enabled HDR before launching the game.
