Radeon x1600...

My friend is using a Radeon x1600,
Getting 80FPSish on WoW, at 1680x1020... Isn't this card 3 years old...?
Bit high isn't it... Or do you rekon it's overclocked?

Made me curious is all... anyone else with similar hardware that can give FPS on WoW?

the x1600 was never classed as a high end card. dont forget depends on what setting she is using in his gfx. if he has maxed out his gfx settings in wow then there is no way his x1600 is giving him 80fps constant...in places maybe possible but not constant

Said he's using a Mac. This make much difference?

hmm that i couldnt say i have no experience off wow on mac only on pc i guess it could. but still x1600 is old card and if all gfx turned up wow is demanding

WoW runs fine on a Mac even with Intel graphics. The x1600 (mobility) will run it even better.

A X1600XT is roughly the same performance as a 6800GT and i have had both cards (the X1600XT was a stop gap in my second pc). Have'nt a clue how well it would play WOW as i have never played it. If it's a X1600Pro then it's very doubtful as they are not very good at all. Had one of those too.
