Hello XMas Crew,

just getting some new systems sorted and am having a few 'teething' issues with drivers. I normally just download the lastest drivers from AMD/ATI but this time I went with the included ones on the CD . . . Not sure what version they are? :)

The latest on the web seem to be Catalyst® 6.12, so are these newer or older than what i got? :o

6.12's are the latest, the ones supplied with the card are just a bodged set of old ones that have been modified just to get you going, which from your screenshot says the 6.9's, they didn't even support the x1950 so the .ini file was just bodged so they would work as said, performance on them will be crap to as when the x1950's came out there was no driver support, latest drivers (6.12) support them, and will run much better. :)

Thanks LoadsaMoney,

Wasn't sure what version these CD ones are, thought they 'may' have been a beta because I can see 6.14 mentioned quite a lot in the above screenshots. I never used Control Centre before so. . . :o

Performance is pretty impressive anyway (best I seen personally so far) but after I installed the Power-Colour CD graphic drivers I am getting a shut-down problem where the PC switches off too fast (kinda thing) giving me a blue screen.

Will 'GHOST' XP back in a bit and just download the new 6.12's and get them installed.

BTW: I saw the 'Deep freeze' bit of 3D-Mark for the first time last night, never had a GPU with PS 3.0 support before lol! :p
