Having bought this card 5 months ago it has worked just fine even after I replaced the stock cooler with a VF900. But both yesterday and today the card seems to reset it's self with the screen going black. I can still hear BF2 running in the background and I don't loose the internet connection as I am still logged on after the card resets it's self. I ran systool and the temp's are fine except for the voltage regulator temp which tops out at 67 degrees.
Is this too high? or do you think I have a knackered card. I have 120mm inlet and outlet fans on my case and a side panel 120mm case fan sitting on top of the card.
I havn't overclocked the card and haven't added any new software or hardware or updated anything.

Cheers

MB: Asus A8nsli deluxe, 2GB DDR corsair value select, Akasa 62 case with 2 amber series fans, one side panel fan, AMD 64 4200 X2 Cpu, freezer 64 pro cooler, 2 * Raptors 74GB, BF2 freak.[/FONT]

Getting the same problem with my 7900GS. Does your card turn back on after a while? Mine doesn't seem to.

When was the last time you cleaned the insides of your PC? Try giving it a good dust out, re seat all the connections and if you can strip your GFX card down and clean it up, re seat your after market cooler.

Core.

It coming back is the drivers resetting the card.

What temps are the core at?

A VF900 has been, on many occasions deemed to little for X1900 cards.

Anyway its core problem.

Doesn't ever come back for me.. was hoping you'd find a solution to my problem :p

Ah well.. it's either my mobo or graphics that is borked.

Only works if you have the service running, and people running ati tray tools don't have it running ;)

It's a vpu recover isn't it? Only sometimes it doesn't recover properly.

Are you sure you're fan is going 100% when you're in 3d?
