so I've just got one of the radiators for my 1st watercooling rig and have been flushing it out by filling with hot water, letting it stand for 10min then shaking and emptying as described on a few forum posts. After reading a few posts i was expecting to get quiet a lot of crap out of the radiator but so far I've got much less than i expected, a few small black specks, and so wanted to know if this was all i should expect or maybe i'm doing something wrong and not getting it all out?

also I've got some de-ionised water to flush it out with a few times once i'm sure it's clean.

Radiators are much cleaner these days, some even come pre-flushed, though even with that I would still give it a couple of flushes to be safe :)

Same with me OP, my first rad had virtually nothing at all come out and I was worried I hadn't cleaned it correctly, I guess some rads are better made than others :)

All 3 of my XSPC EX rads were clean out the box. I gave them a once over and like yourself got a couple of black specks. Could've been loose paint I don't really know.
