Radiator fan

Hello guys

I recently bought some 480 radiators (from OCUK) price was too good to miss and was wondering which fans are good for radiators. I was looking at the Corsair sp led series but was wondering what other good options there are.

EK vardars are pretty good they match the Gentle typhoons for performance and are PWM and they dont whine like the GTs when you slow them down

the SPs are a good 3-4c worse off than the Vardars or GTs

i know this as i own Vardars, GTs and SP QE
all fans mentioned run at 1450 rpm dont know if the same applies at higher RPMs

The OCUK/Silverstone fans are good for the money. I have 6 on one of my rads and they shift a load of air. They really need to go on a fan controller though as they are fairly loud at full chat.

Noob question: for push pull do i need static pressure fans on both side of the rad?

Ideally you need identical fans on both sides.

Think about how much noise you can put up with. I have Corsair SP120 quite and if you run them at or close to full RPM, they are suprisenly loud. EK Vardars and Gentle Typhoon gets the plaudits presently for full RPM and less noise.
