Radiator Fans + Controller

I have just got a Zalman 6 Channel Fan Controller, and 7 Noiseblocker XL2 fans, for use on a 480 & 360 Radiator, I am wondering what the best combination of fans per channel to use. From what I read each fan is 1.8watt so if I used the full 4 on the 480 to a single channel I will be just over 7watt would that be acceptable or should I split them into two channels?

From what I can see the Zalman 6 channel controller is only 7w per channel, in the grand scheme of things thats pretty poor, I personally wouldn't go anywhere near the limit on that controller.

For the price you could have had a 40w channel lamptron...

Reason for the zalman was because it was given to me and isn't going to be on show but hidden round the back, so didn't cost anything.

In that case no more than two fans on each channel at 12v should be fine

You may just manage 3 fans, but 4 certainly not. You don't want the controller going up in smoke.
