Radiator front intake or ceiling?

Hi,

Just wondering what you're preferences are with an open shroud GPU, I'm not sure I like the idea of pumping hot air onto the GPU, would rather it goes straight out the case but that means more exhaust than intake and the ceiling of my case will only take 240 where as the front will take 280

Any thoughts on this scenario?

Also, GamersNexus will soon be releasing a review of the Arctic Liquid Freezer 2, I've been waiting a while for them to make any comments on it so its that particular product I'll be looking at

Thanks

the AFII appears to get good reviews so far but like other coolers the cpu it is cooling has a major contribution to the results. I would go with the 280mm in the front.

Do we know when this is getting released? I am down to the last component for my new setup and the Arctic Liquid Freezer 2 is a contender

It's already out.

280 in the front sounds good because it's a bigger rad but it's "only" a 2600X

I'll be going for more cores next time though so a 280 might be an investment

Another plus is positive pressure setup, the only thing is I don't like the idea of dumping the heat into the case and onto the GPU

got a 280 on a 2600 and rads hardly heat up the air so I wouldn't worry about it.

I have a 2700x on a 280mm AIO mounted in the ceiling, and my 980ti is definitely the hottest component. If my cpu was getting too hot and my gpu was nice and quiet I'd swap, but that isn't the case. For gaming, generally it's about keeping your gpu cool to keep boost clocks up, whereas your cpu is generally not pushed so hard at the same time.

That's my logic anyway

What case is this going into? Some cases have much better airflow than others. Probably better to use CLC on CPU as exhaust becuase it will give you lower air temps inside of case with little to no difference in CPU temp.
