hi guys, first post so big hello. Quick question, does anyone have an opinion on what would currently be the best radiator on the market, taking into consideration performance and value for money, bearing in mind i am cooling a q6600 and a gts? thanks very much.

Hi and welcome :)

Take a look at the Thermochill PA120.2, or the PA120.3 if you have the space.

thanks, had considered it (120.3) and its good to have some confirmation. Although it seems in terms of dimensions it wouldnt fit internally in my mozart tx... 120.2 then. Still enough performance?

Yeah a 120.2 will be fine for a Q6600 and GTS.

Which CPU block are you going for?

D-tek Fuzion i should think unless you or anyone can suggest otherwise, seems to get good reviews... If you cant tell this is my first attempt at w/c, so im kinda just feelin my way (like a n00b in the dark :))

Nah the Fuzion is spot-on for a quad.

You're better paying a little extra for quality components now or you'll regret it pretty quickly.

Thermochill are the best radiators. There isn't anything close on performance, but they are big. Black Ice are good if you have restricted space depth-wise.

D-Tek FuZion seems to be the flavour of the month CPU wise, although the Swiftech Apogee GTX is also highly rated. D-Tek are supposed to be launching some sort of nozzle system as an upgrade to the FuZion soon, so that may be a further plus point in the FuZion's favour. I have no idea what the nozzle upgrade achieves, but I think it allows for focussed waterflow over dual or quad-cores.

Ok, well i might as well have just asked for a whole setup at the start, lol, but if im looking for quality components, any suggestions on a pump & res?

Try a Laing DDC or D5 pump, and the Swiftech micro res seems to do the trick.
