I'm back baby!
So the wife took a radiator off the wall to wallpaper behind it, and now I've put it back on and it's not working.

At first the pipe running the water to the radiator wasn't even warm when other rads were hot and when I opened the bleed valve nothing happened but on checking the pressure on the boiler was low, so i put some more water in the system and now the bleed valve releases water and the feed pipe is warm (not hot).

I don't know how many turns she did on the lock shield valve. Is that my problem? The cold water in the radiator isn't running away?

The problem rad is in the box room (smallest bedroom) and could be furthest from the boiler if that makes a difference.

Gland nut?

I've got it working now by turning all the other rads off. I swapped the thermostat as well but I don't think that was the issue as the other one works still.

Remains to be seen whether it keeps working when everything else is on.

The gland nut is under the plastic cap. Maybe your system needs balancing as the rads before this one may be taking too much heat?

Odds are the lockshield is still closed. Only needs a 1/4 - 1/2 turn to get things going.

Is the gland nut the lockshield? Never seen it called that.

It's working for now, don't know if putting the kitchen/conservatory ones back on will stuff it up but they're not important yet.
