Hi,

Ok got most of my Watercooling setup sorted now and this is it:

Case - Lian Li Silver V2000+

CPU Block - Swiftech STORM Universal (A64/P4)

GPU Block - Maze 4 Low Profile Acetal Top Model

Reservoir - DangerDen DUAL Bay Reservoir - 5.25"

Pump - Alphacool Laing DDC-Pump 12V Ultra

Radiator - ThermoChill PA120.2

Tubing - 1/2" ID DangerDen UV Reactive Tubing (Blue)

Additive - Zerex

Fans - 2x Nexus B/W 120mm

Fan Grill - ThermoChill

Now couple of questions:

1. Is the Black Ice Radiators as good as the Thermochill ones?
2. Does anyone use the DangerDen UV reactive Tubing as the place I am getting it says its better than the Tygon?
3. Has anyone had any problems with single bay Dangerden Reservoirs causing vortex's, read that some people are having this issue?
4. And lastly I have gone for Black & White Nexus fans but am wondering if there are any Aluminium fans out there that are as good?

Thanks

1. No
2. Never used it, but a lot of tubing is as good as Tygon thesedays, XSPC included
3. Never had/heard of that problem
4. They are good, Panaflo L1/M1 are nice too

Was just wondering about the Aluminium fans as the case is in that finish and thought it would look better than black & white fans is all.

Thanks for your other answers.

not too sure about 64CFM at 14DbA though, think that could be a bit optimistic lol!

edit: JFYI I contacted Thermochill when I bought a PA120.2 from them, and the minimum reccomended CFM for the PA120.x series is 22CFM.

Yeah I do like that SilentX chrome fan but not at that price  The Nexus ones are around a tenner each but twenty quid is pushing it a bit unfortunetly.

but black and white in the top of a silver case

I think you want to splash on the Silver ones, or buy some black panaflows.

or a black case :p

Bah stop making me spend money!!! lol. Well this is all for my birthday in July so will see what if anything I get and then decide if I will splurge on these things.

Btw gr1mey love your watercooling setup in your thread very neat and tidy. What GPU block did you use? I am also tempeted to put the bay res on mine next to my silentmaxx enclosure, as wouldn't that keep it a bit cooler?

And if you do ever watercool the chipset let me know what you choose to do as I can't see a viable option apart from using that Tj Ting thing i have seen but thats like another £40 :(

thanks :) I used the Swiftech MCW60 block, and seperate RAM sinks, although in retrospect I might well have gone for a DangerDen/Aquacomputer type GFX block that cooled GPU and GDDR by water.

well, the silentmaxx enclosure gives off heat so, that would warm the water in the res up if anything. I put my silentdrive in the passage of air through the radiator, so the back end of the enclosure get cold(ish) air passing over it.

hope this makes sense...

(I have a fan controller inbetween the rad and the silentmaxx, which doesnt affect the airflow at all)

Yeah I get what you mean Gr1mey and it was just an idea with the enclosure, I will have more than enough room anyway to mount them however i want. Also after reading around a bit I am going of the idea of those Silentx Fans and gonna get the Nexus as tbh you won't see them if there at the bottom of my case and the fan grill is at the bottom.

Welshtom: Just to clarify do you mean that you have the Grill --> Fans pushing air into the case --> Rad.

Or do you mean Grill --> Rad --> Fans pushing air into the case?

Or do you have the fans exhausting air out of the case?

no, fans are designed to pull air not push it.

So you put the fans so they are pulling air through the rad
