I'm borrowing my mums car for the week as I need to do a long journey, however it recently had a new head gasket put in and this has resulted in the radio being locked out. It displays 'safe' on the display when you try and turn it on.

I'm wondering how much it would cost to get the code from a Vauxhall garage.
It's a Corsa (I'm sorry) Exclusiv.

Cheers.

I paid 14.99+VAT for the car pass on my Astra yesterday. :)

Most online decoding places charge at least £25. :D

Cristian, was that just from a Vauxhall dealer?

Nah, it was just at an independent garage. I'll phone around local Vauxhall places tomorrow and see if they can help.

The irritating thing is that the car is getting part exchanged on Saturday but I don't want to do a 5 hour drive with no music really and £15 sounds reasonable.

For the sake of £14, ipod with headphones or portable dock if you've got one?

yes, it was my local Vauxhall dealer.
Bear in mind that it will take some time, usually around a day.
Best thing is to call them Monday morning and get back to them on the phone the next day if it's ready you'll just come and collect it.

For your money you get the car pass which also contains the immobiliser and key code, I believe it is decent value. :)

You're not honestly condoning the use of headphones whilst driving are you?

I saw some plank earlier on the motorway with his iPhone in a cradle attached to his windscreen and earphones in his ears, attached to the phone. YEAH that's safe

Aye, will probably just do that! Like I said, the cars getting sold on Saturday so it's a bit of a pain having to pay for this but meh.

Don't have an mp3 player otherwise I would just get some speakers and put them on the passenger seat. Wouldn't use headphones, it's foolish.
Cheers for the help!

Just like every bus driver in Southampton. I think it helps them move off when you're passing them.

I never get why bus drivers feel entitled to kindness from me; "I drive a car, I don't need public transport, there is no compelling reason for me to let you out, why are you surprised by this?"
