After some problems with the battery on my 1998 rover 400, the radio now needs the code but i havent got it (from what ive looked through). How do i go about obtaining this as i really get bored without music :(

I needed the code for mine, Nearly had to send off for it,

The dealership wanted £9.95 for it! Luckily i found mine in the manuel, as there all different you need to either find it in a service book, or pay the £10 for a new code.

Sorry.

pop it in a plastic bag and out it in the freezer compartment of your fridge.
leave overnight.
voila,code free radio-cassette.

;)

That has worked for me in the past with Truck radio's, helps if your pulling a reefer trailer though... :o

Iirc, the cold has some effect on the microchip, re-setting the code.

If you post the exact model number of the radio / its serial numbers etc then it may be possible to find some info on it :)

Cheers guys, i found a random number on a piece of paper in a folder with all the service/maintenance invoices, tried it and voila!

Cheers :)
