Radio Frequency

I have a remote control for a door bell and basically want to find out what frequency it uses to activate it, so that I could easily buy a spare remote... any quick and easy way to do this?

radio frequencies are often around the 27Mhz band or the 44-48Mhz band, best way to tell imo is to use a scanner, or borrow one if you can. The packaging for your door bell should have the freq range on it.
