ok this may sound even more stupid to yuo then to me, but I have a few times had a pop-up saying I need to enable the radio on my laptop. I am wondering if there is actually a way to pick up fm / am radio with the wireless on the laptop or is this just my own misunderstand (ie radio = wireless)

What laptop do you have and what does the popup say exactly (or at least as close as you can remember)? I don't think I've ever heard of one with built in radio (as in am/fm). :)

Radio = wifi

You can pickup radio and tv with an express card.

their is a free DAB internet radio player for windows vista, attaches itself to the gadget bar and quality is top notch, my dad uses the laptop all the time now i installed it :<.

yeah the main prob though was I needed local radio cause my internet connection was rubbish and cutting out lots. THe stuff I listen to is online, but I was hoping there was a low-tech alternative :p

You cant buy a radio to listen to the radio! thats like buying a tv to watch tv, or buying a stereo to listen to music! This is the computer age yknow :p
