Guys...

I fitted both my Antec Kuhlers in the top of my R3 last night.

I had to move them away from the rear of the case as they would foul on memory/motherboard io.

Doesn't look too bad-ish. I simply drilled one hole per cooler. As you can see from the pics one hangs down at a little angle, but nothing major. Simply one corner not screwed in. (could do this, but would require another hole being drilled.

As you can see from the pic from the top, one fan is partially covered but it doesn't seem to be making a difference.

My question is what can I do about the open mesh areas now when viewed from the top? I have some packaging foam I was thinking of painting/colouring in black and wedging it between the fans and motherbaord area to fill that space up.

Any ideas?

thanks

If you've still got those pads that covered up the slots (forgotten the special name for them) and you are not gonna need them again, you could cut them in half and just screw them into the caps,

I would've said it'd be better to have the cooler that is attached to the graphics card would be better on the bottom fan slot, then you could have the other cooler on the fan slot closest to the front of the case, meaning you can have a fan at the back, then use the cover in the other top slot in the toof

Personally I would have used the holes in the case properly, mount each rad to it's correct holes, I understand there may not have been room for fan and radiator inside the case but I think you could have mounted the fans to the outside of the case and put a fan guard on each fan to finish it of, you could still do this and just plug the 4 holes you have drilled.

Although probably not the best aesthetically looking, this way does get the best temps.

It will do.

I'll plan things a little better with the next case I buy!! Lol
