It's alright but not the classic people are hyping it to be. Deck's verse on Black Mozart bangs, otherwise I'm struggling to think of anything that really stands out.
Not that this album's bad or anything (if you want bad listen to the new Ghostface), it's just there are better around. Even U-God, the runt of the Wu-Tang litter has a better album out.

Not enjoying it so much myself, it is a good album but has nothing on Only Built For Cuban Linx... classic and Wu's best solo album imo.
I think Supreme Clientelé by Ghostface is probably my favourite Wu solo album. Meth's Tical 2000 is decent too.
Not heard Cuban Linx II but I don't hold out much hope, not heard a decent Wu release in years.
On another note, has anyone seen a film called Black and White? It's about white kids trying to be black in NY. Rae, Meth and a few others are in it, some really good tunes on the soundtrack that I've never been able to find.

I love Wu. I found 9 diagrams a bit rubbush and it reallly pains me to say it because I so want it to be good but this just isn't, there are many good parts but it just isnt consistent. There are also some very poor sections.
Wu are legends, make good stuff or stop, I don't want to see this.
I think the Rza album and even Master Killers recent eforts were better. I know it isn't their style to rap exactly "on beat" but there is no relation between the music and the rapping half the time but then 1 second later it will be completly on point, I just don't get how they can't see it when it is like night and day. it is like someone recorded some people ding medicore rap and then stuck some to be fair not bad msic behind it. but it just isn't anything special.
I just don't get it, they obviously all know what a good tune sounds like so why release this average attempt.
Maybe I am being a bit harsh but it is just because the first one was so good. I know what they can do.
Goes to listen to Incarserated Scarfaces.

My thoughts exactly, it actually annoys me sometimes. They must've sat back having finished the final day's recording, listened to the finished album and thought, 'yep, that's a winner, job done'.
