A trip over to RAF Coningsby on Friday to catch up with the Typhoons. Some of the locals...

Finally as the light was going two new Typhoons were delivered, ZK326 and ZK325....

Can i ask a geeky tech question? Can you tell me what lens/camera combo you are using for these shots and your aviation shots in general?

All the above shot with a Nikon D300 and 300 f/2.8 VR. I shoot with this combo as much as possible and enjoy it (although I really want a 500 for air shows!).

I also use a 70-200 f/2.8 VR for helicopters and taxi shots.
