You have a few choices for Leeming... driving up the A1 come off ay the junction before the 'official' Leeming sign posted one and you will go over the bridge over the A1 stop just after the south bound slip rd and look to your left
the planes will pass right over your head here 'very low' going in or out
obviously depending which runway they use
warning DO NOT park in the little entrance to the farm on the right 300yds after the bridge - the farmer goes 'ape' with anyone parking here
another place is the official viewing area
up the A1 to the junction sign posted Leeming and follow it towards Leeming village about 1/2 mile from the A1 and you will pass the little viewing area car park on your right (for photos you will need a step ladder to see over the fence) plus a lens of about 300mm
another place is at the sewerage works - which is rather harder to explain how to get there ( ask a local when you arrive)
Leeming is a really good base for see-ing lots of planes, Tornado's and Hawks are based there, and they also get a fair few visitors
must add it can be quiet though, altjough I have always been pretty lucky getting lots of stuff thru when I have been
