RAF Typhoon scrambled to escort plane.

Just on Sky news a plane flying from Lahore in Pakistan has had an incident onboard and an RAF Typhoon has been scrambled to escort it to Stanstead.

All happening this week.

Edit: it was leaving Manchester to go to Lahore, but is now diverted to Stanstead.

Not often we scramble jets however.

Confirmed security incident now, so it is being taken seriously or serious enough to scramble.

Landed now, captain said to be relaxed towards the incident. Cannot be too serious.

Isn't it standard procedure if they lose contact with the pilot. Could be just a radio fault

They also use jets to actually get a visual of the cockpit
