Check my sig but sustitute the cards for a pair of 6970's and a the PSU for a TX850. Rage is unplayable. I may get 6fps at 1920 x 1080 2AA low AF. I cannot enable textures as it says I don't have enough cores and memory.

Anyone care to comment on why it appears to be so power hungry. I get 33fps in Crysis and over 35fps in FSX Deluxe.

Ive got a old type quad @ 2.8 and a 6870 and i get the 'not enough cores' thing. But i can play it fine, everything as high as it goes. Not sure what fps but definatally not 6. Could be something to do with having two cards.
 
The hardware detection is abysmal but that shouldn't stop it running ok.

Have you used any of the config "tweaks"? as some of them force "opptimised" settings which infact are a misunderstanding by the person who made the config and result in poor performance on some machines.

Also try disabling crossfire and running it on just one card.
 
Weird, So many people are having issues yet my older dual core PC runs the game really well with all the graphics settings set to the highest. The fps rarely drops below 60 and I am having none of the texture streaming issues or hitching.

Thats because you have a Nvidia card. Seems to be issues with ATI cards.

Runs fine on my 580 at 2560x1600 with 4xAA and everything on. Just checked and I get a solid 60 FPS with vsynch on.

I don't like the game though. The low res textures and script driven AI really kills the game for me. Expected more from ID.

I got this the other day and it run like a dog on my pc as well, nice to know I'm not the only one having this issue :(
