Raid 0 Installation worries

Hi everyone,

I'm currently using an OEM version of vista all happily installed on my current slowish pc. Anyway I have just bought a new motherboard, RAM and 4 hard disks. 2 of which being 150gb Raptor drives which I intend to raid 0 them.

Anyhow, with the OEM, I phoned up microsoft and told the guy my situation, i think he understood me, he said to install vista on the new hard drive on my current system, then upgrade the rest then call him up again... Anyway, my first worry is that my current motherboard only has 2xSATA connectors, now I am not sure how I am going to make the installation with 3 sata drives and only 2 connectors? Sorry I am a bit of a noob! It is a near 3 year old Abit KV8 Pro.

Also my second worry, if I do manage to install vista raid 0 on the new drives using the motherboard bios is it to set it up?.. will it the raid 0 function properly when transferred over to the new motherboard?

Cheers,
Adam

Yup buy a sata card. I've had to do the same thing for my current board as it only has 2 sata ports. Got my raid raptors on there, and my 2 other drives on a cheap little sata card that I bought for a tenner.
