Raid 0 Problems when copying large files

I have 2x 2TB Raid 0 arrays setup all using Hitachi 1TB disks.

My main array that I use to store all my media on is working fine this is using a pci adaptec 2610sa controller card.

I use the other array as a backup to the main array along with a few other things I am not bothered about loosing, this is setup on a pci adaptec 1220sa contoller card.

The problem is when I try and copy all my media files from the main array to the backup array it is failing and bringing up the windows write delayed failure box some times afters its copying 10GB sometimes straight away!!

When looking in the adaptec raid config tool in windowsa its showing one drive failed on the 1220sa card but I know its fine as I've replaced the drives and swapped them around and its still doing it, a reboot gets it back online and you can read from it fine but as soon as I try and copy a large amount of data to it its fails over again!!

Is this because the adaptec 1220sa raid card is not up to the job??

Any advice on what I can do to resolve this problem?? is there a setting I can change on the raid card??

I've got that card and it dislikes my WD drives and was constantly telling me one had failed, tried it in two systems with two different sets of drives with the same results in that it would always eventually have a drive fail. Has been running flawlessly with a set of maxtor drives though, so I'd guess there is a compatability issue with certain drives.
