RAID 0 z77 UD3H

Enable raid in bios then Ctrl and I at boot i believe to add disk to array, then use the raid driver on installing windows to allow windows to see the disk.

I'm not actually going to raid my primary hd. At lest ssd's come down a fair bit.

The drives I want to raid is my secondary drive for my dxtory files.

I could raid via win 7 but is it best to do it via the way you suggested?

When i try to RAID two identical 1tb WD drives (striped volume) i get a message to say

"There is not enough space available on the disk(s) to complete the operation"

I'm not RAID'ing the OS drive, just my spare drives for video.

Any ideas?

EDIT - to add, these drives were used in a MAC and have the EFI partition on it. Is this the problem maybe?
I managed to delete one of the 200mb efi partitions on one of the drives, but the other wont delete.

Cheers

Ok so i've got both drives fresh without the EFI partition, but still it doesn't format in stripe.

Maybe use an ultimate boot CD or Ubuntu live CD to ensure that the partitions are all gone? /shrug.

Just to clarify are you trying to RAID0 them in the BIOS or in Windows?
