Well, Just yesterday my on-board controller totaly went!

I can't shut my system down now, because if I let the controller "cool off" it's going to take some time getting the PC to boot back up.

So... I've had a look at the RAID controllers, and the controller i've chosen is the Highpoint Rocket RAID 2310. I have a few questions before I buy it.

1) Will I be able to boot into windows from a RAID 0 setup, from the card? The card is an PCI-E

2) Those of you who have this card, or another Highpoint controller card, how well do they perform?

3) Does this card have any bother with Raptor disks? as my last controller did have a bit of bother using Raptors.

Cheers all, any help would be much appriciated.

Could do with some asap, as i'm in a bit of a pickle not being able to shutdown heh.

Thanks guys, so it should all work *crosses fingers* :p

I have one last question about this, as I'm already using a RAID 0 setup, and my OS is installed on it. Is there a way I could add the driver for the new card to my existing setup so I wouldn't need to re-install windows and all that malarky?

Thanks
