I'm just about to buy a new mobo, as my Asus has died, and was wondering what happens with my RAID0 setup!?!

If i set the drives up as RAID0 in the BIOS on the new mobo (baring in mind i'm thinking of changing brands), will the drives be readable???

This is the first RAID setup i have used, so excuse the question if it's completely stupid... :D

Cheers

It depends if you are moving from one chipset to other say a nvidia, to say a intel. or if your staying on the same chipset. if its the same, you have a 90% chance of it working fine. on the other hand... those chances are more like... 10% working..

Yeah, as long as you're keeping the same storage chipset, for exmple the ICHR9, you should be ok. I didn't think about hta moving from Nvidia to Intel, had to wipe clean and start again =(

Ah okay, thanks guys. ;)

I'm looking at the nvidea chipset now, as i want to go down the SLI route, so i guess i'll be re-formatting. :(
