Raijintek Aidos Direct Contact CPU Cooler

No, the bottom of the cooler has the plastic "remove before use" tab on it, but the thermal compound comes separate and you simply need to pop a small blob on the CPU before putting the cooler in place and fastening down.

Nice little cooler, keeps a 6 core Intel IvyBridge-E CPU nice and cool at stock speeds on a machine at work (the boss is paranoid about overclocking killing components, so at stock it will remain for it's life).

Ah cool. So do you mean it does come with the cooler just not pre applied? Sorry for the confusion

Precisely mate. No need for an apology - always worth asking as there's fewer worse feelings than having 99% of the parts for your new PC and missing one tiny bit that stops you being able to put it together. :D

Thank you :). In your opinion do you think it would be worth buying a different thermal paste like arctic silver? Or would the one included be adequate.
Ill be running an fx 8320 at just turbo (4.0ghz) and xfx280 dd gcard.
I really appreciate the replies.
