I picked myself up one of the windowed Raijintek Metis cases a few weeks ago and what a stunning case!

The problem is that I wanted to fit a full size GPU inside it and the venting/airflow in the case is not fantastic.

So today I set myself the task of improving the airflow in the case and this is the result:

forgive the marks, drilling several hundred holes is dirty work.

Quick nod to Darren_uk and makenick for the ideas.

Tomorrow: Custom Low PSU bracket so I can use full size GPU!

So Quick Update. I Abandoned the low PSU Bracket after I found the new Silverstone SFX-L 500W.

After a lot of measuring and double checking I found the best price for size card to be the MSI 280x which gave me a whopping 1mm of clearance!
As you can see in the image above I had to remove the top but what it does not show is I also had to remove the USB ports and back panel.

The hole drilled into the top of the case means hopefully the card is now in its own little chamber at the top with adequate venting.

IS honestly a lovely case. Did a build in one a while ago.

I used a 270x MSI ITX card for it along with a hard drive... however, had to take the hard drive out as the GPU was getting so so hot with it there and needed that extra room to breath.

Just getting those holes in the top helps a lot with the temps indeed!

What would you like?

So it's been a little while and I could not be happier. I have got the balance of noise/cooling sorted so even when tasking the pc is silent.
