I'll be getting the Wraith Prism with my new CPU, from what I've Googled it's mounted with the fan on top rather than on the side like my current Raijintek Themis.

I imagine with the Raijintek the air is brought in through the front case fans, through the cooler fan and cooler and out the back. Is there any difference with the Wraith Prism fan being on top instead?

Or if the Wraith Prism is garbage and I shouldn't use it just let me know, but my current cooler is 5 years old now and the Prism has pretty colours :)

The wraith prism will cool your CPU more than adequately. Similarly to your Themis it has direct contact heatpipes but uses 4 rather than the 6 on the Themis. It will be louder at full pelt at 39db compared to 27.86db.

If you like the RGB I would say install it and see how you get on. If it's too loud see if the fan profiles can be altered to suit and if needed go back to the Themis, you may need a new plate if you don't have one for AM4 but they're only a couple of £.

It sounds like it's worth a go then, my new case has a bit of sound padding on it so maybe won't be as loud as expected but I'll see. Like you say I can always adjust or swap back.
