Raijintek Themis Direct Contact CPU Cooler

Which way can this be mounted on AMD, majority of coolers when mounted on an AMD face the graphics card, the 212 faces front to rear though making for better airflow and temps.

Has anybody mounted this to an AMD board if so which way did it face?

I'd having it exhausting out of the top of the case, that's what i done with my AMD board (not the same cooler but close).

I've just watched a youtube video and according to that on an AMD setup it can only face one way (bottom to top) .

This is what i thought, i have one on my main PC and it has notches on the CPU contact part where the plate holding it down is.

No, I don't think so. at 0:33 where he puts the metal plates on, if you put them the other way around, so one post top left to bottom left and the other post top right to bottom right, the heatsink + fan will face the other way So you can have it either way.

I did think about that but they don't look long enough to go from the bottom post to the top ?

The four holes should be equal lengths apart I believe? Or at least it's like that on Intel.

Look at that picture, the Intel board seems to work like that. Do you have the cooler already? EDIT: Actually, it does look like it's longer one way than the other...

You can only have it facing up or down to the bottom of the board for that particular cooler.

The four mounting holes are not square like intel. Anyone who has used AMD would know this.

I hope that comment wasn't aimed at myself as I'm more than aware AMD sockets aren't square but some coolers like the 212 EVO allow you to mount them top - bottom and front - back, it all depends on the coolers mounting.
