I watched an episode of Portillo's railway journeys a while back and i'm sure I saw an old coastal railway down in the Devon/Cornwall area that was still in operation.

If it dos exist, I would love to go on it. Dos anyone know what it could be?

Been on plenty of times travelling down to Cornwall on the train, it's not that exciting tbh and it's over and done with in a couple of minutes at most, I wouldn't go out of my way to take a trip on it.

edit - maybe it's not the section i'm thinking of, looking at the map that would be a bit of a roundabout way for the Paddington to Penzance train to go
edit 2 - no I think it is where i'm thinking of actually :p

If you're interested in trains and heading down to Kent look into taking the Night Riviera, one of two sleeper sleeper routes left in the country. I haven't taken it but I've taken the Caledonian Sleeper which is the other one and they share the same carriage stock. Quite nice cabins and a decent restaurant carriage.

Been to Teighmouth a few times with the dogs, pretty nice beach and its a quiet town but its not worth going out of your way to go and see it. Its just like any other number of beaches / costal areas in Cornwall / Devon :)

The Night Riveria goes from London Padidngton to Penzance.

Penzance is in Cornwall, not Kent.

That would depend on your point of view, its widely regarded as one of the best examples of coastal railway in the UK if not the world.
