Still one of my fav games this gen is Rainbow 6 Vegas. I wasn't as keen on the second one and the online was a bit clunky. I have high hopes for this one, wishful thinking?

I always loved the slower paced more tactical shooter, this and Graw :)

Early days but one to watch for me :)

Not really convinced and given ubisofts direction on other games Im sure this will turn out to be mediocre. Too much focus on a TV drama show story and not enough substance in the game. Sure the stuff looks good, but who wants to just press a button and watch the character pull off hollwood stunt shots.

The new graw looks like killing enemies will be a walk in the park with the invisibility crap. Im a big fan of tactical shooters, but havent been taken in by any since vegas 1, op flashpoint was ok, but something which hasnt changed since even the early ghost recons/r6's is the enemy AI. The vegas engine was brilliant, you really had to think about cover so you werent committing yourself to somewhere you are exposed but the thinking part was made easier by how fluid it was to actually take cover.

But the enemies just stand there, shouting at you - 'HEY GRINGO, YOU ARE DEAD MEAT' etc etc.

I loved smoking up doors and bursting in, playing with communacitave people was awesome. Good times, but I think the tactical shooter is dead, no game really punishes you for being careless anymore, so many checkpoints, AI, gameplay help eg mark a target press a button weyhey..

Is that really any different to Call Of Duty?

I enjoyed the first Vegas game, but I did feel that it got quite repetitive, I just found the Casino setting started to drag. When the second game introduced more Casino stuff I truly had enough.

I loved some of the fire fights in the casino (the first one), some of the checkpoints were very challenging as well.

I thought the first one was excellent and the second had the potential to be a great game but I seem to remember it was plagued with sound issues.

Yeah it was very buggy and the online in ubisoft games was always very flakey. Years behind Halo and COD for quick lobby matchmaking and stability. I would have played GRAW for years if the matchmaking and stability was up to standard.

I'm hopeful they can improve after all these years. I guess Graw next year will give some indication.
