Nice to hear, but does it have any of the magic that was in RvS? Looking at the screenshots and of the demo that I played it was good but it certainly was no RvS. Which is a shame considering Ubisoft stated that they were going to make a realistic game and go back to their roots. :(

Its certainly realistic(definately tactical) in most senses however I believe they have made it to be slightly easier to control hence the 3rd person hiding against the walls etc.

TBH its been so long since I played ravenshield I can't really remember but compared to the original 2 rainbows its definately better.

Even if its not as good as RvS I personally think its far better than GRAW simply due to the ability to pick up and play (I could never get to grips with the controls for GRAW).

Also I got the game for a relatively cheap £7* so I was more than happy. :D

*I traded in TDU and BF for it.

normal or realistic?,, normal seems a bit easy??

LOL dunno about that, normal is hard enough for me without me having to go to realistic. In fact a few people on my xbox list have said the same thing that normal is not that easy...but easier than realistic though.

Got my copy on Sat and spent most of last night playing it...superb game and definitely a recommended buy from me. Playing 3 player co-op with 2 bros was plenty fun and also indulged in some MP action.

Definitely like the Tom Clancy series of games ie GRAW, splinter cell and now rainbow 6...all 3 stonking games imho.

Well I finally got up to the rank of private first class after a few matches of attack and defend last night on various maps. I must say it was pretty good, we were all pretty evenly matched and easy kills were only had with killing people who insisted on going the same way every time on the casino level - cue me just camping at a doorway waiting for them.(seriously go another way).

I do have one annoyance though, annoying twits who kick you for not having a headset ( I didn't have it plugged in as I didn't want to listen to americans moaning/shouting etc).

Thus I left some nice negative feedback.

I am still yet to pick a gun I really like for attack and defend at the moment.

The P90 (my choice for coop terrorist hunt) just isn't powerful enough in close quarters and the G3KA4 just shoots everywhere (unless you have it on single shot). The MP5N is well naff and the other sub machine guns just don't feel right (damn I am picky)

What guns do you guys use?!

Mainly using the commando on single shot, but under short busts its controlable, if you havent unlocked it yet use the SCAR-H its the same gun stats wise i think (dont hold me to it im not a yank gun nut)

As for the people you play with its either really really bad or really really good.
Getting stuck with a yank gun nut who keeps having flashbacks to Iraq and says "over" "roger" and "going radio silent" and things like that is ALMOST as annoying as some whinging 10 year old.

We were on realistic level. Died a fair bit (switched respawns on eventually we weren't that good). Computer players deffo a bit sneaky

Was well wicked - I like the controls much better than gears. Great using snake cam etc. Nice effect hugging a wall and doing blind covering fire.

My personal fav is single shot mode , silenced mp5 - makes me feel all steven segal :D Really impressed so far and of course with 4 peeps gonna rock.

Just need to sort out vision cam to get my ugly mug on my char ;)

Your not that far from the end ie getting to Vegas which is where i am now at the moment.
Good luck in getting past this level, its kinda tough and plus you aint got much in the way of weapons...plus no night vision either so hard to see in the dark...turn up your brightness if u can LOL.

***SPOILER***

You dont actually get a chance to save your 2 teammates in the first mission, as you get carted off in a helicopter towards Vegas.

I assume as its in your gametag that your being facisious?

Or have you stolen so many games now you cant remember which ones you've played?

A bit unnecessary isnt it? By the looks of things mana has not played it much as he has no achievements for the game.

Mana - graphics are very good, not quite GOW but they're more than enough for me, being an all time R6 fan :D Multiplayer graphics are somewhat toned down in comparison to single player though.

how are the graphics compared to gears of war?

The graphics in the single player game are considerably better than in the multiplayer levels.

Personally I would say they are up to the standard of GOW but are missing some of the details that pushes GOW into being the better looking title.

However for me vegas looks better as its more realistic looking (ie based on actual places rather than sci-fi). (the enemy character models in GOW for example are more detailed).

However the 'charm' of vegas is more about the gameplay than the graphics (regardless of how good they are). Its more in depth than GOW and much less run and gun (although I do know that GOW does also reply on hiding etc).

@ DjjUK - I am at the exact same point as you mate, I got so far into that part of the level and then I died (shotgun to the face styleeeeee). Its ruddy hard at one eaxct point where you come into a room with enemies on all sides with only a shotgun and a pistol.

Thinking of getting either GOW... or this today.

Really don't know what to go for TBH! I'm more for realism... so that would suggest this, but which is the best online? I get bored of SP very easily and online keeps me interested.... so which one? :p

They both are good at MP/online play...ive got both and cant say im disapppointed with them. GOW online is fun especially co-op and rainbow6 is pretty good but SP is where it excels at...so imo if you want a game thats good at both id go with rainbow6...but then you cant ignore GOW either...the SP side is a bit short and its flaky in bits ie storyline but then i never really paid much attention to the story on GOW.

Hmmm have to admit though Rainbow 6 is one tough game, some of the missions are near enough impossible altho the AI is much much better, your teamates seem to pay more attention to what you ask them to do unlike GRAW and they dont seem to get hit/die that often..much more precision from them when taking out the tangos.
Seriously enjoying this game big time altho fustrating in parts but oh so fun though. The language is quite colourful as well in the game...not a game for kids i have to say.

I got Vegas on release day. It was this or GoW. Fancied this as I'd heard the gameplay was great.

Not disappointed so far, single player is fun, not bad at all. Co-op is hilariously fun and multiplayer on live is the kicker.

I believe this title is a lot more arcadey than other rainbow games which is a good thing. I played the original RB6 on the PC and it put me off. Far too much faffing about for my taste. Obviously if you like that sort of thing, Vegas may not be for you.

In terms of gameplay this is about 10x better then GoW in my opinion, the SP has a good story for the game type, its very difficult on realistic.

The Multiplayer however (allthough graphics toned down) is amazing, its so much fun and you can go up ranks (i.e player ranks) without playing stupid ranked matches with boosters. So playing with mates is great fun.

Currently playing through on realistic, it certainly is tough in places! I've yet to try multiplayer though as I'd rather get the single player campaign done first.
