Looks like the scammers are at it with the Rift according to https://www.reddit.com/r/oculus/comments/6yhjub/just_received_my_rift_i_was_so_excited_to_set_it/.

I had read they were doing similar with CPUs.

Who is to say that he/she is just lying to get a free Rift? Devil's advocate and all that.

Could be but the same carry on is happening with CPUs / GPUs.

It's a real mess for both the supplier and the customer.

Thats odd during our monthly shop off Amazon I opened our 2kg of potatoes last night to make some mashed potato and there were non inside just a Rift ! I've complained to Amazon and sent it back to exchange for my potatoes.

Ordered a cpu from amazon got a box of micro chips instead.
