Just bought some of this and I've applied it to all windows and my mirrors. There seems to be conflicting opinions here, so I shall report back tomorrow/Saturday as I'm sure it will bucket it down at some point :D

no mate there is drought warnings due to the hottest 3 weeks of the last decade coming up

Saturday = Heavy Rain for my forecast :)

While I was putting it on I noticed a few small chips which I'd better sort out soon... annoying that I drove past a "Free windscreen chip repair" marquee too coming away from Halfrauds - D'oh!

Om nom nom, Maryland 4tw :p

Well, I gave a light spraying all over the windscreen, wiped with paper towels all over until it was almost gone then used fresh paper towels to rub over again. No streaks or anything left on my windscreen so I hope I've applied it correctly.

nope, read the bottle.

Hrm the bottle does say a cotton cloth or paper towels IIRC. I'll give it a bit of a test with a hose later. If I've stuffed it up I'll have to wash and scrub it and start again (probably easier said than done) :) I made the faux pas of not doing 50% of the screen at a time though...

I found a video on applying it so I think I should be ok, didn't mess up too much as far as I can see. I just used paper towels rather than a cloth, and there are no smears, it's sparkling so will let you know. :D

I just did the usual clean with glass cleaner then applied it. Probably not a good idea to stick the rainx over any bug squishes etc.

I'm looking at retrofitting aero arms and wipers tbh. Might do that in a couple of weeks as I'm off work for a bit soon :D

EDIT: If I do get problems, what's the best way of getting this off.. I understand it's a polymer of some sort so some sort of abrasive polish I'd guess?

I will also like to see the retrofitted aero arms and wipers. Keep me posted mate ;)

Will do... toying with the idea of a remap+RR again perhaps in 2 weeks' time as I have a bit of dosh coming. If I do go for it, it'll make the car a bit more interesting :)

</derail>

Back on track.. what's best to get this off with? I'll have to take something with me in case of problems as I'm off to Froggy land tomorrow night. Apparently Halford's Glass Cleaner will work?

Hrm my wipers didn't like it that much, got streaking (my fault for not doing it properly... ) so I got rid of it with Halford's Intensive Glass Cutting stuff. I'll give it another go when I get back from hols :)
