Raising Tickover speed

Anyone know how to raise the tick-over speed on a Mondeo?

Its slightly juddery at traffic jams and with a tiny amount of throttle it stops.

Is this not the idle control valve? Once you're in gear and off the gas the ICV takes over?

Do you mean out of gear?

I just mean sitting in neutral not touching the pedals when the car is warmed up.

It's controlled by the ECU, if it's not idling at the correct speed there is a fault somewhere.

Well its at about 700-800, was going to put it up to about 900 but if this isn't something easy I won't bother, don't care that much - was just sat in the car for 15mins today without moving and it annoyed me

700+/-50 is right for that.

what he said. it controlled by the idle speed sensors/air intake etc. I'd suggest moving your right foot a bit more for the cost.
