So I decided to move my current build that was in a Bitfenix Prodigy into a Raijintek Metis.
Which was a bit of a challenge as my PSU is 160mm long and my GPU is 240mm long.
Components
CPU: i5-4670k
GPU: msi gtx460 (going to upgrade to a gtx960)
MB: msi-z97 gaming mobo
PSU: NesteQ ASM Xzero
CPU Cooler: Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 pro
Storage: 3.5" WD Green/Samsung 840 SSD
I did manage to fit the 460 but I wanted to upgrade to a 960 anyway so it was only in there for a short time.
Temps and noise have been a problem in this build. My CPU overclocked to 4.4Ghz reached 80c on load, I got about 70 at the stock 3.4.
Either way the CPU fan gets quite loud. The Zotac 960 also reaches 80 and becomes fairly audible.
I Drilled some holes in the top to assist with airflow. using the side panel as a template worked quite well (pic below).
I used a red marker pen to colour the insides of the holes. It only marginally lowered the temps however.
I had to remove the PSU mounting bracket to fit my psu so its not screwed in,
I'll probably cut a new mounting bracket out of some alu sheet at some point.
I'll probably change the CPU Cooler for a Hyper 212 as the Freezer 7 pro is just too inadequate
and I might get a different 960, the ASUS or maybe the small Gigabyte.
