Whats the best rally sim? just got my Logi G25 and feel the urge to hurtle along country roads at a stupid speeds

I'm a total Colin McRae Rally 2005 fanboi, so I think it's the best

CMR Dirt (2007) is out soon too, hopefully it will rock!

ive had a go of colin mcrae, do the cars not feel abit floaty like they are not connected to the ground or was it just my crappy wheel at the time?

richard burns rally is the true rally sim, cmr to me still feels more arcady than sim

a little something the lfs team added at some point, theres probably a thread on the forums somewhere hehe

personally i didnt like rbr, but thats probably because its insanely difficult to get to grips with, and i only use an x360 pad atm as i dont really have room or money for a wheel atm

Richard Burns rally is the best PC rally sim without a shadow of a doubt. It is superb but needs a wheel/pedal set and the learning curve is Huge.

there are some great car mods that feature higher detail textures and updated car shapes. There is an engine sound mod that adds some growl to the already excellent fx. Does take some getting used to but the graphics are still stunning (much better than screen shots suggest) and the feeling of speed is terrifying.....

i downloaded the demo to pass the time till my game arrives, its awsome!!! your right the feeling of speed is amazing, i like the little effects such as tree stumps and logs that move when u hit them! the dust particle effect is the best ive seen also!

After this thread i have been playing a fair bit of RBR again. What a game :cool:

Hard for me to explain in words but it just draws you in so much and the FX's are brilliant and add loads to the gaming experience. My favourite bit is the co drivers noises when you slam into a tree or summit, it actually makes you feel guilty for the chap

Controlling the cars is perfection and driven properly it is without doubt the closest to booting a real car about that i've ever played. Better than RFactor LFS GTR put together & i really cannot understand why this game engine has not been developed into an online racer.
Anyone know who owns this title now ?
Anyone not tried this yet then do so immedietly you will not regret it. I bet it can be had for a fiver these days aswell.

Most under rated PC game ever in the history of the interweb.

Another vote for Richard Burns

What an amazing, absorbing and damn hard game

The graphics are light years ahead of CMR2005 imo !

You need a wheel for RBR, I use a logitech Driving Force Pro, but a G25 would be even better
