OK so I have an ASUS M5A99X Motherboard AMD FX-4100 @3.6, Plus 16Gigs of Corsair Blue Ram @1866....although when in BIOS it says the ram is @1333 , is there any way and/or any point in ramping up the ram to run @1866 and if so will i notice any difference ?

thanx :)

Go to BIOS then "AI Tweaker" then change option "Memory Frequency" from "Auto" to "1866MHz". You should be able to leave the voltage settings on "Auto". Save settings and reboot.

I have the same system grant, should be a setting in bios like explained already (AI TWEAKER) change the speed in there, i can't confirm 100% that this is true, as i had to return my board because it was faulty, couldn't get into the bios. how you finding it though?

How am i finding the mobo ? it's fine as far as i can tell :)....using the ASUS EZ Mode is pretty easy i guess...but ive not changed anything....yet!! lol...although the first mobo ( M5A97 + FX 4100) i had went a bit up in the air , had to replace it to this one ( M5A99X) ..:)

OK this is an update ..on the ram speed...put it up to 1600 ( left other settings to Auto ) via BIOS restarted my PC and all seemed just fine ...then went into BIOS and changed the Ram speed to 1866 ( as the ram says its 1866 )...again...left all other settings to auto ..mostly cos i wouldnt what to change anyway ....yeah so...restarted the PC and straight away it didn't like 1866 it just wanted to keep restarting the PC , so now im assuming i have to change either the timings and/or the Voltage ? ......any advice please ? :)
